Start-Up Visa

The Start-Up Visa program is designed to facilitate the permanent residence of immigrant entrepreneurs while providing them with the necessary support to establish themselves in Canada. This program aims to encourage immigrant entrepreneurs to grow their businesses in Canada by connecting them with private sector organizations that can provide funding, guidance, and expertise for opening and operating their enterprises in the country.

To be eligible for the Start-Up Visa program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Meet the minimum language requirements in English or French (CLB 5 in all abilities).
Have sufficient funds to settle in Canada.
Intend to settle in a province other than Quebec.
Pass Canadian security and medical clearances.
Demonstrate that their business is supported by a designated organization.
Meet the ownership requirements for the business.
