Provincial Nomination
Provincial nomination offers a valuable pathway to Canadian Permanent Residence. The Provincial
Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow Canadian provinces and territories, excluding Nunavut and Quebec, to
nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada and are interested in settling in a specific
province.
Each province and territory has its own unique Provincial Nominee Program, and most PNPs have at
least one immigration stream aligned with the federal Express Entry system. Provincial nominations
issued under these Express Entry-aligned streams, known as ‘enhanced nominations,’ provide Express
Entry candidates with an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.
